Day 1 - Arrival in Shanghai (-/-/-)
Hotel - Jinjiang Metropolo Classiq Hotel (Five Stars)
When you arrive in Shanghai Pudong International Airport, the guide and driver of the local service has been waiting for you at the exit. You will be greeted and transferred to downtown Shanghai, specifically the hotel - Jinjiang Metropolo Classiq Hotel located at East Nanjing Road No.98.
Today, without any arrangement, just enjoy your free time in hotel or in downtown area. Here we give some recommendations as a professional travel service: take a free private outing or walking to the Bund and Nanjing Road, both of which are quite close to your accommodation.
The Bund is a historical building cluster of modern Shanghai since opened to be a port city around 1840 after the first China-Britain Opium War. It is widely accepted as an international architectural style museum in the world. Walking along the Bund, you may mistake that you are traveling through the times from the ancient to the modern, but when looking the opposite side of the Huangpu River, a zone of the world skyscrapers, you will suddenly come to yourself that you are traveling at the heart zone of Shanghai, also a special belt with a blend of modernism and classicism.
If you prefer, go across the Huangpu River via the Waibaidu Bridge, which is also a famous cultural heritage site in Shanghai with many memories of this city from a small fishing village to a modern metropolis. It is a landmark as well of Shanghai in history. Shanghai Oriental Pearl Tower, Shanghai International Conference Center, Shanghai Jin Mao Tower and Shanghai World Financial Center are all the modern landmarks of Shanghai, and also inscribed into the list of the world’s top 10 highest buildings. Recommend you to have a panoramic view on the upper observation platform of the Oriental Pearl Tower, which has an outside area with a glass floor. Looks so amazing!
After supper, have a free walking along the Nanjing Road to see the No.1 shopping street of China. Enjoy the local delicacies here and have a experience this magic city of the oriental world. The 24 hours’ dazzling business street will give you a special and deeper understanding of Shanghai, the first business city of China.
