The story of Tang Bohu flirting with Qiu Xiang (唐伯虎点秋香, actually this translation was from a book, but it is not so accurate to express the meaning of the original, the real meaning is that Tang Bohu tries his best to marry Qiu Xiang). This is not a true but well-known story in Jiangnan region. Especially the themed movie directed by Hong Kong director, Li Lichi and acted by Stephen Chou and Gong Li, largely makes the story famous.

Tang Bohu was the famous figure living in Suzhou, a grand mansion of Tang family, a noted authoritative family in local area, and he had eight beautiful wives, and all of them were talented and well-educated, but Tang Bohu is not satisfied with them at all. They crossed the rivers and stayed in pavilions to view the picturesque view of spring, and then moved to a locally famous temple, where the Lady Hua with four of her servant girls always went to pray for her family. The four girls were said to be the most beautiful women in Suzhou, and Qiu Xiang was one of them. This time, Tang Bohu fortunately met their activity to temple, and was deeply captivated by the beauty of Qiu Xiang, when he was standing in the crowd. He found he fell in love with this beauty, and decided to aspire after her.
